Interested in joining Max Joule?
Send us your CV and a short introduction outlining your relevant experience.
Overview
Join Max Joule, an innovative deep-tech startup developing next-generation battery cells and energy storage systems for industries including defence, space, medical, and mining.
As a Simulations Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and validating simulation models for battery cells and systems. Working closely with the founders and engineering team, you will use FEA and CFD simulations to understand structural and thermal behaviour, guide design decisions, and correlate models with experimental testing from concept through validation and manufacturing.
Your responsibilities
Perform CFD-based thermal modelling and support thermal design optimization.
Perform FEA modelling and validate simulation results through physical testing.
Design, procure, coordinate, or outsource physical testing and validation activities.
Create CAD designs for battery cells, battery packs, fixtures, tools, and manufacturing equipment.
Maintain CAD files, engineering drawings, parts libraries, and related technical documentation.
Support the manufacturing team with the design and development of tools, fixtures, and production equipment.
During your first months, your main focus will be on FEA structural simulation of battery cells, thermal modelling of battery cells and battery packs, developing battery cell CAD models as a basis for simulations, and supporting the engineering team with fixture designs.
