Overview
Join Max Joule, an innovative deep-tech startup developing next-generation battery cells and energy storage systems for industries including defence, space, medical, and mining.
As an Electronics Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing advanced electronic systems from concept to production. Working directly with the founders in a fast-growing startup, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact on cutting-edge battery technology while taking ownership of challenging engineering projects.
Your responsibilities
Designing electronic circuits and PCB layouts
Creating schematics, BOMs, and technical documentation
Selecting electronic components for new products
Programming embedded systems and microcontrollers
Testing, debugging, and troubleshooting prototypes and production boards
Preparing products for manufacturing and validation
Developing and maintaining firmware for electronic products
Ensuring PCB designs are reliable, manufacturable, and cost-effective
Supporting EMC compliance, product testing, and continuous quality improvements
Maintaining accurate project documentation and meeting development timelines
What we’re looking for
Skills & Knowledge
Experience with PCB design and electronic circuit development
Knowledge of ECAD tools, preferably KiCad
Understanding of embedded systems and microcontroller programming
Ability to analyze technical challenges and develop practical solutions
Familiarity with PCB manufacturing processes and electronic testing
Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
Experience
Previous hands-on experience in PCB design and programming gained through professional work, university projects, or personal projects
Experience in electronics product development from design to testing is considered an advantage
Experience with FPGA development is a plus
Experience with manual PCB assembly and modification is an advantage
